Learn Sales From Children
EXAMPLE #1
A little boy asked his parents, "Will you please buy me a new bike?"
The father said, "No way."
The little boy then asked his parents, "How about a new skateboard?"
His mother said, "NO, you do not need a new skateboard."
The boy then asked for a new video game and once again his father replied "No."
The little boy then said, "Well, can I have a few dollars for some ice cream for me and my friend Billy?"
His father handed him the money and said, "I will give you that."
As he ran off to the ice cream store his friend Billy asked, "How did you talk your parents into giving you the money?"
His reply, "I always get what I want when I give them choices!!"
EXAMPLE #2
From the archives of the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. One night, Johnny had the winner of the number one girl scout cookie salesperson in the country on. He asked her the secret of her success.
She said, "I just went to business people in New York and said, 'Can I have a $30,000 donation for the girl scouts or would you like to buy 2 or 3 cartons of girl scout cookies?'"
The little Girl Scout never lost a sale.
